Structure is only known because it is faced with chaos.
What that face wears is natural.
What the face wears is unchangeable.
What that face wears can be haunting.
Yet, it is taught in Chemistry, Biology, Physics,
that chaos is just a natural aspect of life.
Yet she still tries to fight it,
even though she knows she will not win.
She knows it.
It keeps her up at night
Knowing that she is helpless.
Knowing that she needs to rely on someone.
Knowing that she needs support
or she, too, will fall over.
What makes it worse is that she does not know
what she needs exactly.
Her life is an unorganized jumble in which she cannot
Her pieces do not
And she knows it, but cannot do anything about it.

Tatyana Da Rosa is a first-year student in the College of Arts and Sciences at Boston University. She is studying Biology and Business Management on the Pre-Vet track, and although it is very clear that she is an indecisive and boring student, she creates poems that excite her (and hopefully her readers). In her free time when Tatyana is not cheering for BU’s varsity basketball teams, dancing in her cultural performance group Afrithms, giving tours for Admissions Ambassadors Club, or making quality chicken fingers at her job Cane’s, you can find her snuggled up with her laptop watching funny viral videos.
